1987 Jeep Wrangler

Gentlemen, It is hard to give a good depiction of all of the restoration that took place with only (2) Pictures, (1) before and (1) after. However it does show the overall dramatic difference. I have spent 4 ½ years doing this total off frame restoration o my 1987 Jeep Wrangler and in addition have made several improvements. I have designed a multitude of adaptors and mounts that allowed for the 468 BBC to be installed lower in the frame which gives for a much better CG and allows for a very low drive shaft angle which equates to the ability to put some serious HP to the ground. I am hoping if I make the final (16) I will be able to share some of the pain staking hours spent restoring the body and fabricating fenders and panels required to accomplish this beauty. I performed all of the body work; all rust removed and welded, Frame repairs along with re-enforcement all in my 24 x 24 garage with tool available to most people. The only outside help was for the actual “spraying only” of the paint and a little machine shop help with my innovated ideas to make motor mounting improvements. In closing the unique thing about this beauty is that you can go two track in northern Michigan to you favorite little pub in the woods along rivers, streams and some rough terrain and when you come back out onto main street thoroughly dissapoint the local top muscle car, especially when he has to tell his buddy’s he was beat by a Jeep. It’s a beautiful restoration and I hope I get the chance to show you more.
