Here is my 1972 Camaro after 18 months and 1800+ hours of evening and weekends. All work was completed by me except for stitching of the interior and headliner install. Also got help from a friend to wire it (hidden wiring, thank you Dan). Car started as a $500 basketcase. All sheetmetal except for roof, upper quarters, and lower rockers was replaced. From there I started fabrication with a hand built subframe with C6 corvette suspension, 14"/13" Z-51 disk brakes were added (Kore3 brackets out back), Speedway Engineering splined swaybar, Strange Coilovers , custom fabricated triangulated 4-bar rear suspension, Speedway Engineering Quickchange rearend, tunneled floors for 3" mandrel exhaust, smoothed firewall and inner fenders, DSE Wiper motor, side markers deleted, trunk and gas tank raise 4", bumpers tucked in. All wiring is hidden and coils are relocated. Low mount Vintage A/C has hidden lines too. It's powered by a LS1/T-56 combo and I have 100 hours into custom Magnacharger install to clear stock hood. I machined a custom intake set up. Notice the throttle body upside down? Interior is custom black leather with red French stitching and suede inserts. Dash is leather wrapped and Racepac UDX dash is the gauge system. Rear panels, shifter boot, and steering wheel match. Wiper and headlight controls are relocated behind ash tray door. The car was painted by me in my garage after months of bodywork and fitting. It is PPG Victory red, with basic black and white stripes and many of the accent pieces were painted with Duplicolor black paint out of the can. Any gaps too big were welded and hand fit. The window moldings were also straightened and painted black. The smoked glass was bought from Auto City Classics to match the finish of the wheels. To finish it off, it sits on a pair of custom Rushforth Wheels. The Camaro tucks 19's and 20's with 4.25" of ground clearance. Nothing hangs below the pinch welds. And it handles and rides awesome. To be clear, I have NO professional training and work in a business office all day. I Built this car as I wanted it to be and within my budget. This is a labor of love and I hope you enjoyed looking at and reading about it.
