This is my 1967 Firebird 400 Convertible. The frame off rotisserie restoration took a little over two years to complete, from the end of my junior year of high school to the summer after my freshman year of college. It was my dad’s first car, my grandpa bought the car in the early 70s, and it has been in my family ever since. It has the original engine and transmission. The car is Titanium Pearl with black interior and top, it rolls on 16” Torque Thrust II’s and BFGoodrich tires. I built a rotisserie to sandblast, weld, and paint the underside of the car easily and thoroughly. Every panel of the car was replaced except the door skins and cowl. I welded in new quarter panels as well as 3 new floorboards. The frame and the suspension components were powdered-coated. Recovering the seats was en entire family job. Every piece of the car was removed and restored no bolt was left unturned. I replaced the front turn signals with 3 LED strips hidden in each side of the grill. A posi-traction unit was added to the original 3.36 rear end as well as disc brakes all around. I did all work with the help of my brother, dad, mom, and a family friend who painted cars in a past life.
