1967 mustang GTA o.e. style steel rims are only 14" x 5.5". i removed the center sections, rechromed them to install wider wheel tubes. i found that 15" x 7" olds ralley rims had the same size center sections (12 1/4") it took wheel tubs from six olds doner rims. i then used two rim tubs for the front wheels. i then pressed them on to the correct backspacing and trued them up on a lathe, and then they were spin balanced. the rears required spliting four tubs to create the premium width of 9.5". this fit the wheelwell with out modifieying the frame for clearance. they were then set for proper placement, trued and balanced. ZR245x50x15 and ZR225x50x15 bridgestone R.E. 71's were mounted. these tuck in very close on my 1967 mustang, with absolutely no clearance problems at all.
