My CAMARO is my daily driver. She is a 1995 CAMARO Convertible with a 3.4L v6. I call her my "Black Cherry". Trying to be different from the normal SS or Z28 crowd, especially since my dad would not help me out on buying the car or paying for gas and insurance with a v8, my goal was to make this car something that is eye catching but yet begs the question of what did he do to it to someone who knows its a camaro, but does not necessarily know exactly how a stock 1995 camaro RS looks. I started out at over christmas break 2009 with the bone stock 16 inch Chevrolet star shooter wheels, which you can tell from the before pictures was a silver metallic (and collected brake dust like crazy). Using Dupli-color factory match paint to repair the nose of my car from the damage from when someone backed into me, i decided to take the time and update the rest of the cars appearance, and give it a stronger street fighter look. The biggest noticeable feature is my wheels. I did not have the money to just go and buy new corvette replicas (and that would have been too easy); I bought some Dupli-Color Charcoal Metallic High Performance Wheel Coating and gave the car a true custom look by taping off the center cap that says CAMARO across the middle of it, then i used some red pinstripe tape around the edge of the rim to create the illusion of a reflection from my red brakes, which were painted with Dupli-color Ceramic red brake paint. thus the magic has begun in turning a daily driver into a custom on a very tight budget. i also used VHT nightshades to tint my taillights, i installed a pair of GTO brand clear head light covers to add more aerodynamics to the car. I had the front turn signal markers smoked out as well with Night Shades, until the inspection station made me sand them down to show amber...he said i could have clear covers or orange covers, but not black...i did not understand since they still flashed orange...but oh well, i guess you live and learn.
